Boat insurance

We understand that the purchase of a boat is an important investment for our clients and Clearwater is able to assist you in safeguarding that investment through insurance. Boats are, unfortunately, susceptible to damage due to the unpredictable nature of the sea and weather (and sometimes the skipper!) and it is imperative that your vessel has protection whilst at sea and in harbour. In fact, we would go so far as to say that it is either a very brave or very foolhardy sailor who goes to sea without insurance.

It should also be noted that it is obligatory for vessels cruising in Spanish waters to carry appropriate insurance. Your insurance document should be carried onboard your vessel and if your insurance documentation is written in English, then a Spanish translation must also be carried.

Clearwater can introduce you to marine insurance specialists with many years experience in the industry who offer a personal service and competitive premiums. Policies designed specifically for vessels lying in the Balearics are available and a no claims discount system is operated.

A wide range of cover is offered, including the following:-

*Loss and damage to vessel
*Third party liability
*Personal items on vessel
*Falling or loss overboard of outboard motors
*Land transit risks
*Charter clauses (bareboat and skippered)
*Water-skiers liability
*Legal protection

Separate independent policies specifically designed for jet-skis can also be arranged.

If you would like assistance in obtaining a quote then please do not hesitate to contact us at info@clearwater.com.es or telephone (0034) 971 354 208.

Please note:

It is a legal requirement world-wide that anyone seeking a policy of insurance, re-insurance, renewal or cover for additional risks must disclose all material facts. A material fact is one that would influence the assessment and acceptance of the risk proposed to the insurers. Failure to do so could affect the validity of any policy. If there is any doubt whether a fact is material or not then it should be disclosed to the insurers in any event.
